Therapy that speaks Human.

For the parts of life that don’t come with easy answers.

Finding a therapist can feel strangely vulnerable—especially when you’re not quite sure what you need or where to begin. At Congruence Therapy, there is room for all of it: the difficult feelings, the questions without easy answers, the moments of insight, and the laughter that can be its own kind of medicine along the way.

Find your path

If you notice yourself feeling constantly on edge or overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself or the people around you, and unsure of how to move forward, even knowing where to begin can feel exhausting.

Maybe you’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, and worked hard to understand yourself, yet still find yourself caught in the same patterns. Meaningful, lasting change is possible—and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I help teens and adults of all ages reconnect with their minds and bodies, and move beyond unhelpful cycles shaped by life’s experiences. Through our work together, you can strengthen your capacity to navigate difficult emotions, make decisions with greater clarity and confidence, and develop a felt sense of internal stability.

Your path to self-discovery through evidence-based psychotherapy
Meet Christen Camp, LMFT, owner of Congruence Therapy, integrative psychotherapy in San Francisco and throughout California.

Christen Camp, LMFT

I believe meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity about who you are and the experiences that have shaped you. Our work can make room for difficult emotions while also allowing for humor, creativity, and moments of relief along the way.

I offer integrative, nervous system–informed therapy that goes beyond simply managing symptoms. Together, we’ll explore the deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck and work toward greater emotional stability, self-trust, and a stronger connection to yourself.

Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout while balancing career, relationships, family responsibilities, caregiving, grief and loss, or significant life transitions. You may be questioning what you want, struggling to set boundaries, adjusting to a changing relationship or stage of life, or realizing that the ways you've learned to cope are no longer working for you.

Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, gain perspective, and create space for something different. Together, we can work toward greater emotional stability, clearer decisions, more fulfilling relationships, and a deeper sense of trust in yourself—so that the life you’re living feels more aligned, meaningful, and genuinely your own.

Getting Started

In-person therapy office

Book a free 15-minute consultation to get started.

Your journey with Congruence begins with a brief, relaxed initial consultation—an opportunity for us to get to know one another and see whether working together feels like a good fit. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and what you’re looking for in a therapist.

I’ll share more about my approach to therapy and answer any questions you have about sessions, scheduling, fees, or next steps. You don’t need to have everything figured out beforehand, and you’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable.

There’s no pressure or obligation to continue after the consultation. If it seems that another therapist may be better suited to your needs, I’m happy to help connect you with other resources or clinicians when possible.

Consultations and ongoing therapy sessions are scheduled securely through SimplePractice, my online client portal.
